Operating Instruction for Text-to-Speech Tool
Home panel
Opens the control panel.
Control panel
Starts, pauses and stops text-to-speech of a web page.
Displays the current position in the text segment.
Moves position:
“Prev”- Moves the position backward.
“Next”- Moves the position to the next segment.
Controls volume:
Speaker button - turns the sound on and off.
Volume control - changes the volume; click or drag.
Opens the Setting panel.
Closes the Control panel (stops text-to-speech and returns to Home panel).
Setting panel
Controls speaking rate.
Controls highlighting for the current segment:
“ON” - Enables highlighting. (Images and PDF files cannot be highlighted.)
“OFF”- Disables highlighting.
Goes to the operating instruction page (this page).
Closes the Setting panel (returns to the Control panel).
